Jill - This is not my horse. I spooted him (her?) while driving on a tiny, tiny country road on a quest to pick up my daughter at a sleepover. The horse is a beauty, even though he was soaked with rain!
Great pictures! I love the last one for the eyes of a horse tell much about his spirit. Our horses are dreaming of green pastures and young ladies on their backs to play and train.
Oh my word! What stunning photos. Is it a state secret, or can you reveal something of what you do to the photos to get them looking like that. They're stunning. Or where should I go to learn....?
Nice pics. These were take pre-snow and 3 degrees, right? We watched "Red" a few nights ago. I thought it was a pretty good movie. From what we've been told of the condition of roads throughout our county we'll be out again tomorrow. Of course, today is the last of our built-in days, so from here on out we'll be making them up. Luckily, next week should bring warmer temps. Stay warm 'til then.
Beautiful horses. I love horses nearly as much as I like dogs and beautiful women. At my age and condition, however, I just admire horses 'cause I can't ride 'em and as for beautiful women I can look and that's all my license is good for. Just 'cause my license for those activities were forfeited 55 years ago when I picked out Patty. I would love to get another dog and probably will, but this big black cat that my daughter and our granddaughter moved back in with, has turned out to be my best animal friend in spite of his biting me the first day we met. I just realized this morning that you live in neighboring Kentucky. Shazam! Are you a "Hillbilly?" Or a "Ridgerunner?"
I looked it up on the urban dictionary... http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Ridge%20Runner
My great granddad used to get his whiskey from a ridge runner that lived way up in the hills, where even the sheriff wouldn't go in West Virginia. But they got him and sent him to prison and that messed up his family. My mom said it was hard times after grandpa went to prison.
I offer not to offend you if you are either or consider yourself neither. I love hillbillies, ridgerunners and moonshiners.
Beautiful ! I like horses...
ReplyDeleteLove horses! We have them on both sides here at The Glen. THIS ONE is SO unique..is he/she yours? LOVE THEM!
