  2. FYI - These are two pictures that I took while the cow was in the chute for an exam. That is how I got this close up shot. And yes, that is my cow with those eyelashes! Only the cutest here at the farmette.

  6. SRQ - Our cows participated in a university study a couple of years ago because we do not use antibiotics, hormones, etc...with out cows. They are naturally grass fed. So, during the exam blood was drawn for the study.

  11. Raised a "city girl" (even though it was in a small town),the first time I got this close to a cow I peed my pants. LOL My then boyfriend (now hubby) and I were walking on his family's farm and he called the whole herd over to me, knowing I was scared of them. He thought it was quite funny.

    Hope you all stay safe tonight. Looks like we're in for some rough weather.

  16. I've looked at this post several times through various feeds and you may be surprised to know that I have decided that the camera is a wonderful invention. You have captured the fine texture of the hair and eyelashes so well that I think I am there trying to think what the cow is thinking at the moment.
