  3. swings in trees...visions of my childhood...the peaceful stillness of a cemetery...a place to let stress and tension go and simply be

  4. Perhaps it should read "thoughtful
Thursday" visiting a cemetery and depending on your upbringing and culture may have some significant differences from other cultures.

For me, it can be a place of peace and solace.

  5. Very peaceful setting...although, the swing seems a bit out of place next to tombstones.

  9. Your thoughtless Thursday photo brought thoughts of the place where my family is buried in Sweden and then of them all. As always a lovely photo.

  11. Lovely... but weird. Why the swing?

  12. I really like the composition here--as if the various objects were arranged that way. Same thing with light and shadow. Interesting--I didn't even notice the oddness of the swing in this setting. It seems unusual, yet entirely right, maybe for the reason Rick K states.

  13. I like the arrangement of items here, as if the stones were planned for a photo. Ditto the light and shadow contrast. I didn't even notice how unusual a swing is in this setting till others mentioned it. It seems right, maybe for the reason Rick K states.

  14. Interesting...I guess someone put up the swing to rest and be close to their loved one...

  17. Everyone - The swing has been there for quite a while. Placed there for quiet time and contemplation, I am not sure how much use it really gets. However, this is a really, peaceful place.

  22. Well, there is a very appropriate place to swing and contemplate what life is all about. How interesting. I would love to walk around the tombstones and read the names on them.
