Unexpected Gifts

Saturday I had plans.

Plans that involved me and a list of chores.  Not too bad, I thought.  Both kids were busy with friends and Secret Agent Man was busy as well.

Then the plans changed and I ended up taking two fine young ladies on an outing to a local orchard.

And I was lucky enough to be a part of their day.

I listened as their jokes, songs, laughter, and friendship seeped from them with joy.

And to think that I almost missed every moment of this.....

but I think I have ended up where I needed to be."

  6. This is what life is all about....kids and their ability to just have fun together. It's for the parents too and the memories that are set in place...glad you had your camera.
Cameras are so important today but we still forget to tag the images for the future when no one remembers names and places.
I wish I had been able to spend more time with my daughter during this time but 10 & 12 hr. days 6 and 7 days a week was helping the cause. We are close today though, as most daughter/dad combos are.
